A wooden box with compartments that hold the various components of the scale. The box lid has 2 hinges and 2 locking clasps on the front. There is green felt lining inside the box. Included is a brass bucket with handle and hook to suspend from balance arm. A balance arm - the arm is hinged close to the part from which the bucket is suspended. This is followed by a flat brass scale calibrated from 21~80. A large square block marked: "lbs. per Bushel" slides smoothly over the flat scale. A brass ornate stand with a round base. The uppermost extremity of the stand is forked and notched to hold the 2 projections of the balance arm (3). A wooden spatula with a long handle running along its top and a flat blade which is convenient to scrape up the material that has to be weighed.
