Thanks Birch for his involvement in the January 1933 Tasman crossing made by Kingsford Smith, mentions the boost for amateur radio with authorities; radio relay work done by station ZL1AR; return flight; new station going in at Mascot aerodrome; peculiar effects during transmission from the plane; requests hour Kingsford Smith will depart New Zealand for return to Australia; and gathering data to show team work between amateur radio operators.
