Description
Nazi German Army Officer's dress dagger, consisting of dagger and scabbard. Scabbard has a metal throat fitting with Swastika insignia engraved at point of dagger entry. Throat fitting has a connecting ring on one side, and a brown leather strap with metal clip attached. Scabbard body is black leather with a crackle finish. The chape and finial at the bottom of the scabbard are metal. The dagger has two bulbous metal knobs for its pommel. The handle is black leather with crackle finish. The cross guard is metal and in the shape of wings curved down slightly. In the centre of the cross guard is a Swastika. Engraved at the tip of one of the wings is the letter "K". The blade is mostly blunt. Maker's Mark "E. & A. Helbig / Gaefler / Steinbach Kr. M."
