Rectangular metal cigarette tin painted red with hinging lid. Printed on lid "Rothmans / Pall Mall / BY SPECIAL APPOINTMENT / VIRGINIA / MEDIUM / Made in England". Printed on sides "50 Pall Mall Virginia 50". Printed on base is maker's mark "ROTHMANS ESTABLISHED 1890". Handwritten on hinge side "85/0031/02". On inside surface of lid is company's address and a description of contained cigarettes.
