Description
Man at top of partly extended ladder. His legs are behind four stands of what could be power lines. There is a group of school children on left looking up towards the man close to the top of the ladder. There is a second man standing on the appliance, also looking up. In the background are partial views of three double decker buses, a telephone box, a car and the wing and propeller of an aircraft on the ground. Probably taken in the courtyard next to the Pumphouse. In 2004 John Walker advised that the ladder was supplied by Shand Mason in 1903, but he believes it was built by Magirus as it has a German inscription on some of the parts.
