Brief History
Made in New Lynn, Auckland, this Force 2 video game console was no longer new technology by the time two girls received it for Christmas in 1984, although that probably didn’t dampen their excitement. The console was made by Fountain Marketing Ltd to the design for the 1292 Advanced Programmable Video System, first made in 1976 by European manufacturer Radofin. The same console design was made under license in various countries by different manufacturers, and the game cartridges were also made under license.

I have one of these, but in the other colourway- cream with black detailing, in original box and 9 games, also in their boxes.... interesting that the price labels on the games is $39.95 - that would have been a huge amount back in those days!

Thank you for your enquiry. As a public museum MOTAT does not sell objects from its collection, best of luck in finding one elsewhere.
