Description
Partial front and left side of a bus with The Passenger Transport Company Ltd. written along the body under the windows. The destination above the windscreen and in the side side read: Ellerslie Highway Otahuhu. On the centre of the roof above the windscreen is a licence plate 5:533. On the front of the engine is Stewart with a second plate on the side of the engine that probably reads Stewart bus. Most of the war memorial is hidden behind the bus but the statute is standing just above the roof where the driver is sitting. Only his head and shoulder can be seen but he is wearing a white coat and hat. Stewart buses were used by the Passenger Transport Company in the 1930s and 1940s. See 02/080/039 for a side view.
