Black and white copy scan of original photograph of the final farewell gathering of the Auckland Tram Conductresses. Conductresses are in front of Tram 253 parked at Tram Barn, Manakau Road, Auckland in 1956. Sign at the top of the tram has text: 'GOODBYE ITS BEEN NICE TO KNOW YOU!' with a sign at feet in centre of group with text '1942-1956'. Cath Taylor is standing in second row, second from right, with her daughter hidden behind her mothers back. Nancy Carrick is middle row third from left. Photograph possibly taken by Graham Stewart.

Following research done into the life of tram No.253, Graham Stewart confirms he took the image of the farewell to the tram conductresses for the Auckland Transport Board.
