Description
NZ Police Flight Helmet.

Flight Helmet worn by the NZ Police Air Support Unit. The helmet is white with a hard shell. The helmet has a large white visor, with two blue lines printed horizontally across the visor. On the right-hand proper side is a red lightning bolt sticker. On the back of the helmet is "POLICE" printed in blue and ""RELIEVER"" stencilled in red. There is some illegible black text underneath this.

On the left-hand proper side is the remains of an orange sticker. Attached to this side is a metal fixture where a receiver/microphone can be connected. Printed in white is, "GENTEX / MODEL 5060-4 / TSO-C58a, CAT. A". The interior of the helmet is lined with polystyrene and black and green textile. At the front of the helmet is a fabric strap which is connected to both sides of the helmet with a series of circular metal clasps.

On either side of the helmet is black padding and headphones within. At the back of the interior is an adjustable fabric and velcro strap. Two black electric cords run out from the rear of the helmet. One cord is single pronged with "NEXUS / M9177/21" embossed. The other cord has two small prongs and is embossed with, "u-173M / ASTROCOM".
