NZ Police Flight Helmet.
Flight Helmet worn by the NZ Police Air Support Unit. The helmet is white with a hard shell. The helmet has a large white visor, attached to a clear, black visor which can be moved up and down with a black dial. Engraved onto the dial is the text, "L H / THREAD". At the back of the helmet is a holographic sticker depicting United States of America flag.
On the left-hand proper side is a vertical patch of white velcro. Next to this is a black cable which threads into a metal attachment and microphone. White text printed on the cable reads, "[USA[?]] GAV [?]". A yellow piece of rubber is wrapped around the cable which reads, "MICROPHONE, DYNAMIC / DLA900-88-0-0047 / P/N MC-087-002 / FSCM 16575". The mouthpiece of the microphone is covered in a black foam textile.
The interior of the helmet is lined with polystyrene and black and green fabric. At the front of the helmet is a fabric strap which is connected to both sides of the helmet with a series of circular metal clasps and silver buckles. On either side of the helmet is black padding and headphones within. At the back of the interior is an adjustable fabric and velcro strap.
Behind the proper right headphone, a white sticker has been adhered to the interior of the helmet. "LIGHTWEIGHT HELICOPTER HELMET SP[?] - 5 / EXTRA LARGE / 97427/01045057 / ORDER NO. P 105475 / 5 . 97 / GENTEX CORPORATION / 970002" is printed onto the sticker in black. behind the proper left headphone, a holographic silver sticker with black printed text reading "GENTEX / CARBONDALE, PA 18407 / CAGE 97427" has been adhered to the interior.
A small cable runs along the back of the helmet, connecting the two headphones. A larger, black cable extends from the rear of the helmet. It has a single pronged plug and embossed text which reads, "NEXUS / U-1747U / M9177/2-1". A piece of yellow plastic is wrapped around a section of the cable.
