Description
Green coloured postal scale made by Avery of England. The scale is of cast metal construction with a large vertical white scale on top. The scale is marked from 0~15 kg on the outer perimeter and from 0~33 lb on the inner perimeter. There is a black pointer which indicates the weight. Below the bulbous end of the pointer are the words:

There is a red label stuck on the front white dial of the scale. This label says: Avery New Zealand Ltd. For Sales & Service 17-19 Teed Street, Newmarket PH 502072 Box 9578 Auckland
On top, is a platform which is screwed in the centre. The platform is spring-loaded so that when an object is placed on the top, the pointer on the scale moves forward indicating the exact weight of the object. On the right is a small calibration screw in the form of a knurled thumb screw.
