Description
1863 Government of New Zealand Imperial Measure. The measure is circular in shape. Engraved on one side of the measure is the text, "IMPERIAL HALF GALLON / 1863". On the other side is the text, "GOVERNMENT OF NEW ZEALAND" engraved. Below this is "[crown] / ED. / N [crown] Z / GR / SM / 20" engraved. Around the top edge of the measure is two symbols with the text, "SM / S.M [crown]".
